Located in Malartic, The mineralogical museum of Abitibi-Temiscamingue presents a permanent exhibit about the geology and mining industry of the area. Come and see a spectacular gold collection, a sample from lunar rock and a large variety of minerals from around the world. Interactives games, a seismic simulator and the shadow theater complete an experience that the entire family will enjoy.

Then, visit the Canadian Malartic mines facilities, Canada’s largest open-pit gold mine currently in operation. Learn more about the day-to-day lives of numerous mine workers and the mining industry’s technological developments. You will be amazed by the gigantic equipment used and the fresh outlook on mining.
