Description of the statue

Erected in 1984, the Minor Statue is a tribute to our pioneers.

Created by the artists Paul Salois and Laura Brown-Breetvelt, this masterpiece is 12 feet and has a weigh of 2 tons.

A few statues of minor have been created across the time. The first one erected in 1984 is at the historic site of the Old-Lamaque-Mine on the Cité de l’Or site and some others are on the downtown Lapointe Park and at the North mining Transit Center.
